It is titled Francis Allies Are Publicly Trying To Get Rid Of Him. I can't say that I'm surprised. Their long-term goal is for a Papacy severely limited in power, possibly by 'term-limiting' the Pope. It does seem unfair that if Bishops and Cardinal-Electors are forced to resign at a certain age, in defiance of immemorial tradition, the Pope may reign until death.
However, I think the plotters chose the wrong man to further their plans. Francis seems to be most interested in raw power. Even as he talks about 'synodality' he gathers more and more power into his own hands. He has become what the erstwhile Knight of Malta, Henry Sire, called a Dictator Pope and dictators are not known for giving up power voluntarily.but
Plus, he seems to be convinced that his pagan 'god of surprises' or perhaps Pachamama, has given him the task of changing the Church to fit the model of a neo-pagan, Green, left-wing NGO, a la Greta Thunberg's 'School Strike for Climate'.
So, I seriously doubt that Francis will fall in with the plotters' plans and abdicate the See of Peter as his predecessor unfortunately did.
