Italy’s most prominent abortion activist Emma Bonino, a leftist who helped pass Law 194 that legalised abortion in Italy, said the overturning of Roe showed the risk in Italy of moving backwards and of "losing achievements that had seemed permanent". Let’s hope she is right.
