The Royal Guard by Sabaton, A Song About the Swedish Livgardet, the King's Guard

I am not a fan of metal music, but I make an exception for the Swedish power metal band, Sabaton, because of their subject matter. Here is their latest song, written in the run up to modern Sweden's 500th anniversary.

And here are Indy Neidel, who lives in Stockholm and is a naturalised Swedish subject and bass player Pär Sundström discussing the history of the Livgardet, the Royal Life Guards of Sweden and the genesis of the song.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
