7 Kinds of People Who Will Never Enter Heaven — The Church's Honest Answer

From Totus Catholica

Seven kinds of people the Bible says will not enter the kingdom of God. Most people assume that list is reserved for monsters: murderers, tyrants, the truly evil. It is not. One of those lists opens with cowards, and that same list ends with, quoting, all liars. Every one of them was written not to pagans but to baptized Christians who had already been washed. Today: the list, all seven, without softening it. Then the Church's honest answer, more severe than the everyone goes to heaven crowd will admit, and far more merciful than the doom preachers want you to know. The door out is hidden inside the very verse that condemns. Long before St. Paul wrote a word, Israel taught the faith as two roads. Moses said, I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life. The Dead Sea Scrolls gave the sons of light their own list of the works of darkness before Christ was born. Even the word Jesus used for hell is Hebrew geography: Gehenna, Ge Hinnom, a real ravine below Jerusalem. Paul did not invent the vice list. He inherited a Jewish way of teaching and filled it with Christ. And the verse the doom preachers stop just short of reads: and such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified. The list has a door built into it. So this week: one honest examination of conscience, confession, and the Eucharist received in a state of grace. You still have your birthright, and you still have today. In this video: • The four warning lists: 1 Corinthians 6:9, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 5:5, Revelation 21:8 • Why every list was addressed to baptised Christians, and Trent's line that it excludes the faithful also • The Greek tense the doom preachers miss, and the verse they stop short of: 1 Corinthians 6:11 • CCC 1037: God predestines no one to hell. Hell is a door locked from the inside • Esau's bowl of stew, and the bronze basin between the tent of meeting and the altar ⏱ CHAPTERS 0:00 Seven Kinds of People 1:01 The List, Read Without Softening 2:54 The Jewish Roots of the Vice List 4:05 Written to the Pew, Not the World 5:03 The Verse Doom Preachers Stop Short Of 6:43 Esau Sold His Birthright for Stew 8:30 Once Saved Always Saved, Answered 📖 SCRIPTURE REFERENCED • 1 Corinthians 6:9-11: the list, then the door. Therefore choose life. • Hebrews 12:16,17: Esau sold his birthright and found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears. • Ezekiel 18:23: God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that he turn and live. ⛪ FROM THE CHURCH FATHERS & THE CATECHISM • St. John Chrysostom (4th century): a warning given in advance is how God keeps a soul from being lost unwarned. • CCC 1861: grave sin done with full knowledge and deliberate consent excludes from Christ's kingdom. • CCC 1037 and 1033: God predestines no one to hell. Hell is definitive self-exclusion from communion with God. 📜 SOURCES & FURTHER READING • Council of Trent (1547): quoting this very list, it excludes from the kingdom not only the unbelieving but the faithful also. • Dead Sea Scrolls, Community Rule (written before Christ): the sons of light received their own list of the works of darkness. 🔗 EXPLORE MORE 🌍 Website: https://totuscatholica.org/ Rosary Guide: https://totuscatholica.org/rosary ✉️ Contact: https://totuscatholica.org/contact 🔍 Examination of Conscience: https://catholicexaminationofconscien... 📚 Free eBooks: https://buymeacoffee.com/totuscatholi... 👥 Become a Totus Insider: https://buymeacoffee.com/totuscatholi...

  1. You'll also find no evesdroppers in heaven.
I know everybody is doing it but like they used to say "If all of your friends jumped off a cliff, would you jump too?"
