Jimmy-Boy Martin, SJ, is still pushing to further the Lavender Agenda in the Church. Why has he not been laicised and excommunicated?
From Rorate Cæli
He did it. At last he did it. James Martin, the "LGBT"-obsessed Jesuit, has made a true encomium of "gay priests."
They are everywhere in his newest propaganda piece: they are good, they are generous, they are kind. And, he emphasizes, they are "celibate" (God only knows how he would know that...)
In my almost 40 years as a Jesuit, I’ve known dozens of celibate gay priests [Note: SHOCKING!] who have led what Pope Francis called “good, holy and celibate” lives, modeling Jesus’s message of love and mercy. Similar to the experience of Father Berg and Professor Lock, they have been for me, and for many of my friends, spiritual directors, pastors, professors and mentors. And they have done so in a church that sometimes ignores, denigrates or even insults them. The most compelling argument for openness to ordaining gay men to the priesthood is the presence of many holy and healthy gay and celibate priests.
Yet there is an inability in the church to admit this, for several reasons: First, a lack of reliable data (which means accurate estimates of the percentage of gay priests is hard to ascertain); second, embarrassment on the part of some church leaders that the priesthood would be seen as a “gay profession” if the true percentage were known; third, embarrassment among some gay priests about their own sexuality; fourth, a false conflation between homosexuality and pedophilia; and finally the persecution faced by the few gay priests who are more public about their sexuality, as this New York Times article details.
We wonder why people are horrified with a new "acceptance" of homosexual priests... Could it be because of the abuse crisis?...
In Phase I (2004) of the John Jay College research, titled The Nature and Scope of Sexual Abuse of Minors by Catholic Priests and Deacons in the United States, the data confirmed that the vast majority of the victims were male: 81% of the total victims were male (boys/young men), while 19% were female.
Most of these male victims were adolescents, not young children: 51% of all victims were between the ages of 11 and 14; 27% of all victims were older adolescents between the ages of 15 and 17. (Source)
So, no, enough of homosexual priests. They should be all removed from the holiest of callings.
