Jesus's Last Words on the Cross Prove Mary Had No Other Sons

From Totus Catholica

Protestants open Mark 6:3 and say: see, Jesus had brothers. Case closed. But the Greek word is adelphos, and the New Testament was written by Jewish men thinking in Hebrew. Ancient Hebrew has no word for cousin. The word for brother, ach, covers brothers, half-brothers, cousins, nephews and fellow countrymen. Rashi, the greatest Jewish biblical commentator in history, notes it in Genesis 14:16. The same word, the same convention, the same confusion. Then there is John 19:25-27. Jesus on the cross entrusts Mary to John. Under Jewish law, biological brothers were legally obligated to care for their mother. Jesus who said he came not to abolish the law would never have bypassed real brothers. The cross scene is the smoking gun. And Luther, Calvin, and Zwingli all agreed: Mary had no other children. Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
