Most people are aware that there are seven tenets of Catholic Social Teaching. But where do these principles come from? Besides Scripture, they find their root in the social encyclicals and official documents of the Church, dating back to 1871. From Rerum Novarum to Querida Amazonia, the Church has had a lot to say on a number of issues.
