Pope Leo XIV has called the cardinals to Rome for the first extraordinary consistory of his pontificate. Some view this as a formality. That the Pope just wants to be perceived as including the cardinals for decisions he’s already made. Others believe that this is a good faith effort to solve some of the issues in the church… including the topic of the sacred liturgy. Will we see reforms to the Novus Ordo mass as a result of this consistory? Or a loosening of restrictions to the Latin mass? Let us pray that the Holy Spirit may guide them.
