It is a simple Consistory for Canonisations. We will have to wait for a Consistory to name new Cardinals. I have several ideas who he could elevate to the Red Hat!

On June 13, 2025, Pope Leo XIV will hold an ordinary public consistory “for the vote on causes of canonization,” the Holy See Press Office announced on May 21. During the month of June, the pontiff will also celebrate seven public Masses, notably on the occasion of major events in the context of the Jubilee of 2025.
Pope Francis had announced the consistory last February during his hospitalization, without giving a specific date. This announcement coincided with the publication of two decrees by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints opening the door to the upcoming canonization of Italian Bartolo Longo and Venezuelan José Gregorio Hernández Cisneros.
The convening of a consistory in the context of Pope Francis' failing health caused a stir, because it was at an ordinary consistory that Pope Benedict XVI had announced his resignation.
On March 28, upon his return to the Vatican, the Argentine pontiff approved the publication of three new decrees allowing for the upcoming canonization of Venezuelan nun Maria del Monte Carmelo, Papuan layman Peter To Rot, and Armenian Archbishop Ignatius Choukrallah Maloyan.
In order to become saints, the causes of these five blessed individuals must be presented to the cardinals during an ordinary public consistory, during which the date of the canonization Mass is set.
The consistory convened by Leo XIV on June 13 is expected to serve this purpose. Not all cardinals are required to attend this meeting; these consistories are usually attended by those cardinals who work in Rome.
Calendar of celebrations in June
Pope Leo XIV will also preside over seven Masses in June, several of which will be held in the Vatican on the occasion of the Holy Year.
These include
the Jubilee of Families on June 1
the Jubilee of Movements, Associations and New Communities on the Solemnity of Pentecost, June 8
the Jubilee of the Holy See on June 9
the Jubilee of Sports on June 15, the Feast of the Holy Trinity
the Jubilee of Priests on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, June 27.
On June 22, on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the pontiff will celebrate Mass in the Basilica of St. John Lateran.
He will then participate in a traditional procession to the Basilica of St. Mary Major, concluding with a Eucharistic blessing.
On June 29, he will celebrate Mass in St. Peter's Basilica on the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, during which he will bless the palliums of the new archbishops.
