“The weather in Lourdes is favorable: a warm welcome from Our Lady is expected, with consoling waters and clear skies for the soul.”

Father Miguel Guerra surprised a group of Marian pilgrims with a spiritual message delivered in the style of an airplane captain just before takeoff to Lourdes, France—a moment that quickly went viral on social media.

The preacher and biblical scholar took the microphone and, with a calm voice and inspiring words, offered a reflection based on his experiences in Medjugorje and on what awaited the pilgrims at their next destination. The moment was captured on video, including the spontaneous ovation from the passengers, who responded with warm applause to the unexpected message.

The priest later shared the video on his social media channels:

“I hope you enjoy it as much as they did. And if you’ve read this far, say a Hail Mary for me during this month dedicated to the Virgin Mary.”

Here is the translated message Father Guerra shared with the pilgrims:

“We are now beginning a spiritual ascent—reaching a stable altitude of faith—en route to Lourdes, France. This journey promises moments of hope, healing, and inner renewal. We invite you to keep your hearts open and your prayers fervent throughout the trip.”
“The weather in Lourdes is favorable: a warm welcome from Our Lady is expected, with consoling waters and clear skies for the soul.”
“On behalf of the entire heavenly crew, we thank you for choosing this journey of faith. Fasten your Rosary, place your spirit in a position of recollection, and enjoy your flight. Have a blessed flight.”

The video quickly gained traction online, garnering over 102,000 views and more than 7,000 likes.

Many social media users praised Father Guerra’s creativity in evangelizing and responded to his request for prayer:

“How cool! 💡🙌🏼🕊️ Hail Mary for you and the entire pilgrim crew," one user said. "I'm from Lourdes and have been consecrated to the Virgin since birth—I’m thrilled you’re going to the grotto. I haven’t even been there yet 😍.”

Another person said, “The best charter—Rosaries fastened tight!”

“Blessings, Father! Excellent message!" someone else commented. "I wish every flight had something like this ✈️.”

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us!
