Elisabeth Of France - 11 Pregnancies And 9 Miscarriages


Elisabeth of France, daughter of Henri IV Of France and Maria de Medici, was born at Fontainebleau, 22 November 1602 and died in Madrid, 6 October 1644 She born a princess of France and became queen of Spain as the wife of Philip IV of Spain. She was deputy regent of Spain in her husband's absence during the Catalan Revolt twice, once during April-December 1642, and again 1643-1644. In 1643, she participated in a plot that resulted in Olivares' fall from power.
