Roger Buck: Ep. 13 - Celtic Connections EWTN Radio Ireland Interview (Part 1)

The first part of a radio interview in which Mr Buck discusses the truth about 'Celtic Christianity'.

In this first part of a "Celtic Connections" radio interview originally broadcast by EWTN Radio in Ireland, Roger Buck speaks with Irish host Paul MacAree about the New Age Movement, Catholic Ireland and his conversion to Catholicism, after many years as a New Age activist.

Buck also talks about his years as a member of the Findhorn Community in Scotland, probably the most well-known New Age community in the world, which has played a key role in shaping New Age ideology. And he tries to explain the core ideas of this ideology, as well as its roots in Eastern spiritual movements such as Theosophy, along with Western psychotherapy. While the discussion should be helpful to Christians everywhere - Protestants as well as Catholics - trying to understand the New Age Movement, the interview also reflects the Irish context and Buck's profound debt to Irish Catholicism - which very much served to liberate him from his long-held, deeply entrenched liberal, secular and New Age views. Thus, a certain concern here - brought out more strongly in the upcoming part 2 - is the corrosive effect of New Age ideology on the Christian culture of Ireland.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
