Today is a day of anniversaries. It was on this date in 1939, that General Francisco Franco announced victory over the Reds at the end of the Spanish Civil War (1936 to 1939). He saved Catholicism and Spain from the evils of Communism, thereby probably saving all of Europe from falling to the Reds.
