Yes, the 'good guy', Duda, won the Presidential election, but with only 50.2% of the vote in the runoff. 49.8% of Poles voted for his anti-Catholic, pro-LGBTQXYZ∞, pro-EU opponent. Our Lady of Częstochowa, Queen of Poland, pray for your people!

On July 12th, Polish President Andrzej Duda and his Law and Justice party (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, or PiS) narrowly won re-election in the second round of voting. Voter turnout was robust at 68%, dispelling the usual “no real mandate” refrain of Europe’s leftist media and political elites. This second term extends Duda’s ability to pursue his conservative nationalist agenda by another five years.
This victory is to be celebrated for many reasons. First of all, it is a victory for the West. Duda has been steadfast in his defense of Western values in Poland and across Europe. The invitation extended to President Donald Trump in 2017 to give his first state visit address in Warsaw symbolized a fundamental pro-Western alignment, which has proved to be crucial in the global battle to regain Westphalian sovereignty.
Needless to say, his party’s opposition to the radical social agenda of the Polish far left has resulted in liberal elites tarring PiS as a party of “bigots” and closet “totalitarians.” The Washington Post has even warned that Duda’s re-election further “undermines democracy” and allows him to continue implementing a “far-right agenda” (by which they really mean mainstream conservative values). Such attacks are typical fake news. What Duda and PiS have done is ensure that Poland remains a bastion of European civilization in an EU that has blatantly tried to erase its Judeo-Christian roots in order to serve the interests of the globalist elites. Under his leadership, Poland has pressed the EU to regain control over its borders, while simultaneously attracting well-vetted immigrants from Eastern Europe.
Duda has also led the way for implementation of the Three Seas Initiative, a trade and security bloc that will strengthen the energy and defense capabilities of the sovereign nations of Central and Eastern Europe. With a shared cultural heritage — and the experience of living behind the Iron Curtain in the 20th century — the initiative allows them to better resist political and military pressure from both Eastern and Western peripheral spheres. At the same time, Duda has been a staunch ally of the United States and its security interests. He has overseen a defense strategy that has increased the commitment of Central and Eastern Europe to NATO — and, as such, established an unparalleled working relationship with Trump.
Duda’s pro-life, pro-family agenda (which has already resulted in rising domestic birth rates) has been accompanied by prudent, business-friendly economic nationalism that should serve as an inspiration to other countries. Shunning the unfettered “race to the bottom” capitalism that has allowed globalists to decimate the cultures and economies of other countries, Duda has instead created a savvy business environment in Poland that has led to increased investments, tech sector innovations, expanded tourism, and an overhauled transportation infrastructure. He has also strengthened Poland’s energy sector by facilitating strategic partnerships (in LNG) with American energy firms in order to reduce dependence on Russian gas — thus helping to secure the Polish grid from the predatory practices of their aggressive neighbor to the East.
In short, this is the conservative populist-nationalist leadership that we need more of today — all over the world. Duda’s unwavering commitment to Poland’s heritage and culture within the family of European nations, combined with his clear vision of the requirements for economic success, make him the leader Poland needs in these turbulent times.
