Was I Wrong About Back Scabbards?

From Modern History TV

Jason Kingsley, CBE, the Modern Knight, investigates the historical value of the backscabbard, beloved of modern TV and movies like The Witcher or games like Dungeons and Dragons. Does it have any use in reality?

Modern History TV explores the practicality of carrying swords on the back while navigating dense woodland on horseback. This investigation tests if historical scenarios allowed for such transport methods by trying different sword types and using a cloak for concealment.
