The 8 Most Beautiful Immigrant-Built Churches in America (See Note)

From Purely Catholic

Standing in the centers of America's industrial cities and rural farmlands are architectural masterpieces that feel less like the Midwest or the East Coast and more like Rome, Paris, or Kraków. European immigrants pooled their money, time, and skill to build some of the most fantastic churches in the continent. So I’m going through individual ethnic groups to find out which of their churches stands out the most.

Nota Bene ~ Since he concentrated on big city Churches, there are several he missed, including two in Kansas. They are the Basilica of St Fidelis, commonly known as the Cathedral of the Plains in Victoria and St Mary's Church in St Benedict. The first time we saw St Mary's, my wife turned to me and said, "Somehow, Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!" Look them up!
