All the English Monarchs From 1066 to 1603. Timeline of English Monarchs.

From History Calling

This list of all the English monarchs from 1066 to 1603 will take you from WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR to ELIZABETH I. I’ll tell you when every English monarch was born (assuming we know), when every English monarch reigned and when every English monarch died, as well as some fascinating factoids about each one. This is the story of 550 years of royal history in the British Isles and is a brief summary of the entire history of the English monarchy from the time of the Norman invasion and the fall of the Anglo-Saxons to the end of the Tudor era and the point when the English and Scottish crowns joined to become Britain. I’ll reveal which Kings were murdered, who the first Queen regnant was (spoiler alert, that question is disputed), which Kings ruled twice, which Kings were deposed and which King was forced to abdicate. I will not be looking at the Kings and only Queen of Scotland, nor will this cover the Kings of Ireland and the Welsh Princes of Wales. You will hear about Richard the Lionheart, bad King John, the Princes in the Tower and the murderous Henry VIII. This is the story of the House of Normandy, the House of Plantagenet and the House of Tudor.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
