Catholic colleges around America, many of them run by Jesuits, have mostly lost their Catholic identities. Notre Dame, as one of the most historic and well-known Catholic institutions, has followed a similar path. While the campus is immaculate, and the basilica is stunning, religious life on campus is far from what it used to be. And now, the administration has taken one more step towards full secularisation.
