The Duc de Saint-Simon – Louis XIV’s Venomous Court Chronicler
Louis XIV's VENOMOUS Court Chronicler: Louis de Rouvroy, the Duke of Saint-Simon was born on 16 January 1675 and died on 2 March 1755. He was a French courtier and author of Mémoires, a sour and unsurpassed description of events and characters at the French court during the last years of the reign of the Sun King and the 8 years of the Regency.
