How Satisfied Are Citizens in Western European Republics?

Political systems are products of history. They evolve through events, taking shapes moulded by socio-political impacts. In Europe, World War I acted as one such critical event, causing the fall of the German, Austro-Hungarian, and Ottoman empires. Post-World War II, communism's rise in East Europe further reshaped the landscape. Currently, Europe leans predominantly towards republicanism, with a majority of its countries adopting this form of governance. This transformation marked a significant shift in governance styles and policies across Europe. From monarchies that once ruled vast territories, new republics emerged, adopting principles of citizen representation and theoretically equitable power distribution. But how successful has this transformation been? And more importantly, how do citizens evaluate their current political systems?

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
