Francis was elected Pope 12 years ago today. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for about three days, but when he called Buenos Aires personally to cancel his newspaper subscription and bragged about how "humble" he was, I realised that we had a Pope suffering from overweening, sinful pride.
Over the intervening 12 years I have come to realise just how proud the man is. He thinks he's above Holy Scripture, the Infallible Magisterium, the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, and all of his predecessors in his attempts to dismantle the Catholic Faith. Examples would include his ignoring Canon Law (especially to get a good "photo op"), his change to the Catechism on the death penalty, his acceptance of unrepentant adulterers receiving Holy Communion (Amoris laetitia), the Abu Dhabi Declaration and the blasphemous "Abrahamic Family House",
There is a reason the Jesuits have a rule prohibiting them from seeking preferment in the Church. The problem with Francis's election was that as there was no Pope, there was no one with the authority to prohibit him from accepting the post.
Since he has carefully stacked the College of Cardinals with his own creatures, men just like him, modernists and heretics, "dissenters" from infallible teachings (McElroy and Radcliffe come to mind), all we can do is to fervently pray, "Please, God, send us an undoubtedly Catholic Pope!"

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
