How ridiculous can you get? Declaring "Woman: An Adult Female" as "narrow and exclusionary" because it does not acknowledge the insanity of "the lived experiences of transgender and non-binary individuals who identify as women."
From Everyday for Life Canada
The Christian Heritage Party of Canada (CHP) tried to get approval to place the poster above, with the image of a woman, in bus shelters in the City of Hamilton. Yes, Canada has a Christian Party. The advertisement publicizes the name and some of its views. The request should have been straight forward. After all, the definition of female and male has been known since the beginning of human history. However, in progressive, post-modern Western society the meaning of those words, like mother and father and husband and wife, has become controversial.
So what did the bureaucrats at the city do with the request? They rejected it. Here's the reason:
The message of the advertisement supports a traditional and biologically determined definition of gender, in line with conservative values. The definition is by its nature, narrow and exclusionary, and does not acknowledge the lived experiences of transgender and non-binary individuals who identify as women.
In short, the message of the advertisement isn't woke and "inclusive" enough. Sadly, this is Canada 2024. The CHP didn't stop there. To defend women and freedom of speech, they sought a judicial review of the city's decision.
This past October their lawyer presented the case before a three-judge panel. Last month the verdict sided with the City of Hamilton. That wasn't enough. The party was ordered to pay the city's legal cost of $35,000.
CHP has decided not to back down. There is a serious injustice here and one that openly discriminates against the Christian view of the person and family. Is Canada truly a nation that respects true diversity, inclusion and equity? If so, the advertisement should have been approved without any question.
Christians in Canada, and all people of good will, must work to defend freedom of speech, the right of women and girls to have their privacy protected in public change-rooms, washrooms and shower facilities, and right not to be forced to compete against biological males in women’s sporting events. If you agree with this, do consider making a donation to the CHP "In Defence of Women" campaign.
CHP has said they will fight for an appeal if they get the funds to do so. Legal battles are expensive, but together it can be done. We must not back down from defending our Christian values. If we don't do it, nobody else will.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
