On April 14, 2026, Pope Leo XIV did what no Pope has done in
2,000 years. He visited Hippo Regius in modern Annaba, Algeria,
and prayed at the archaeological site of St. Augustine's basilica.
The press focused on Trump and Iran. They missed what this
actually meant. Africa is not just receiving the faith. Africa
forged the faith.
Hosea 11:1: "Out of Egypt I called my son." Matthew 2:15 fulfills
it when the Holy Family flees to Egypt. The first Gentile convert
in Acts 8 is the Ethiopian eunuch. Simon of Cyrene, an African,
carries Christ's cross. Tertullian coined "trinitas" in Carthage.
St. Cyril of Alexandria defended Theotokos at Ephesus. Augustine
shaped Catholic theology. Africa is the cradle.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
