Islam's Growth is a MYTH (The Numbers Don't Lie)
Are Catholics losing the numbers game? Recent headlines claim Islam is the world's fastest growing religion, with projections showing Muslims could match Christians in total population by mid‑century. For some Catholics, these statistics spark genuine anxiety about the future of the faith. But when we examine what Christ actually commanded and how the early Church understood mission, we discover that the race for the biggest headcount was never the point.
📌 Islam is indeed growing faster than Catholicism in raw numbers, driven primarily by higher birth rates rather than mass conversions. Between 2010 and 2050, Muslims are projected to grow far faster than Christians, largely because of fertility and a younger median age. Yet Africa's Catholic population has surged, with hundreds of millions of believers and explosive growth in priests, reminding us that the Holy Spirit is still powerfully at work. The real danger begins when we accept the world's scoreboard without asking whether we're even playing the same game.

💬 Reflection Question
If Jesus measures success by fidelity and disciple‑making rather than raw numbers, how should that change the way you think about Islam's growth, the Church's future, and your own role in evangelization?
