The musings and meandering thoughts of a crotchety old man as he observes life in the world and in a small, rural town in South East Nebraska. My Pledge-Nulla dies sine linea-Not a day with out a line.
Are we living through a second Middle Ages? While we think of the 21st century as the peak of progress, our culture, politics, and technology are beginning to mirror the medieval world in ways that are both fascinating and terrifying. From Elon Musk, cancel culture, and the rise of private warlords to a post-literate society dominated by memes, we are reliving the patterns of our ancestors.
In this video, I explore why the "Slow Cancellation of the Future" is leading us back to a neo-medieval reality, where corporations act like lords and the internet has become our new village square.
