One of the strangest things about evangelical Protestantism is its love affair with the political state of Israel. The Israel of the Bible is equated with the current political State of Israel; i.e., the modern country of Israel is viewed as the direct continuation of the Old Testament Kingdom of Israel.
From a Catholic perspective, however, this view is nonsense. In this video I will make the case that we should not see any sort of equivalence between the State of Israel and Old Testament Israel.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
