From Journey to Sainthood

The United States may not have the deep Catholic roots of Italy or France, but don’t count us out just yet! Catholicism in America has a wild, fascinating, and often oppressed history, and in this video, I’m sharing ten surprising facts you probably didn't learn in school. From convent burnings and anti-Catholic political parties to the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence and a Marian apparition right here in Wisconsin: there’s a lot to unpack. Some of these facts are inspiring. Others are infuriating. A few are just downright weird. (Seriously, ChatGPT thought a grotto was made of corncobs?!) Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of the USA, pray for us. 🙏

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
