The Rise of the Sikh Empire

Emerging in the Rise of the Sikhs, the Sikh people forged a warrior tradition through centuries of struggle. After Guru Gobind Singh’s passing, Banda Singh Bahadur led the Khalsa in a fiery uprising against the Mughal Empire, creating the first Sikh state before his tragic downfall. The subsequent Sikh Persecution & Survival saw brutal repression, yet the Khalsa endured, regrouping into the powerful Misls. With the rise of conquerors like Nader Shah and Ahmad Shah Abdali, Persian & Afghan Invasions turned Punjab into a battlefield, but the Sikhs outmaneuvered their foes. In time, Ranjit Singh united the Misls, ushering in the Rise of the Sikh Empire, a powerful and cosmopolitan state. Under his leadership, Punjab flourished, reaching the Height of the Sikh Empire & Legacy before internal strife and British ambitions brought its downfall. Watch this journey of resilience, conquest, and empire-building unfold.
