Little Missionary: New Comic Celebrates St Thérèse’s Legacy

Thérèse is our oldest daughter's middle name and I'm a Carmelite Tertiary (TOCarm rather than TOCD, though) so I'm looking forward to this.

With 'Little Missionary,' Voyage Comics invites readers to discover St. Thérèse’s mission — one that continues to touch souls a century after her canonization.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of St. Thérèse of Lisieux’s canonization, a milestone that highlights her enduring influence on Catholics worldwide. As the Church prepares to honor her legacy, Voyage Comics & Publishing is set to release Little Missionarya brand-new graphic novel exploring the life of the beloved saint.

A missionary who never left home

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, known as the “Little Flower,” entered the Carmelite convent at just 15 years old. Though she longed to be a missionary, her fragile health prevented her from traveling. Instead, she found another way to fulfill her calling — by offering her daily life and sacrifices for the salvation of souls. Her spiritual insights, later published in Story of a Soul, revealed a radical path to holiness through small, everyday acts of love.

Despite never leaving the convent, Thérèse’s influence stretched across the world. Recognizing her deep missionary spirit, Pope Pius XI declared her co-patroness of the missions in 1927, alongside St. Francis Xavier. Her example continues to inspire millions, proving that one need not travel far to transform lives.

As the Church prepares to honor her legacy, Voyage Comics & Publishing is set to release Little Missionary, a brand-new graphic novel exploring the life of the beloved saint.

Bringing Thérèse’s story to a new generation

Voyage Comics & Publishing, founded in 2018 by Philip Kosloski, creates faith-based entertainment infused with Catholic values. Their mission is to craft compelling stories that inspire heroism and virtue, reaching audiences of all ages. Their latest project, Little Missionary, brings St. Thérèse’s journey to life in a dynamic, accessible format.

Slated for completion on March 26, the comic is now available for pre-order, making it an ideal gift for Easter, First Communion, or Confirmation. Through vivid storytelling and engaging artwork, Little Missionary illustrates how St. Thérèse’s “little way” of love and sacrifice made her one of the most influential saints of modern times.

A growing Catholic media apostolate

Voyage Comics has become a leading name in Catholic storytelling, producing graphic novels that merge faith with adventure. Inspired by Our Lady Star of the Sea, their work reflects a commitment to excellence in both storytelling and artistic quality. By creating and distributing faith-filled media, they seek to advance truth, beauty, and goodness in today’s culture.

With Little Missionary, Voyage Comics invites readers to embark on a journey into the heart of St. Thérèse’s mission — one that continues to touch souls a century after her canonization.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
