If you search the world’s most northern Catholic Church, you might find results of a CATHEDRAL in Tromso, Norway, which is at the 69th Northern Latitude.
However, very little is known about the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Pond Inlet, Nunavut-Canada’s most Northern Territory situated within the Arctic Circle which is at the 72nd Northern Latitude.
People have asked me how I’m able to live out my faith here in the Arctic, and while it is a small community with a small Catholic population, the Catholic Church is nevertheless thriving in its own simple ways!
“For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:20
God Bless and Ave Maria!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
