The Foundation of the Order of the Garter and Edward III
In this video, the first of a series on the Order of the Garter, England's oldest and most prestigious order of chilvary, I explore the foundation of the order by King Edward III. I look at the king's motivation, the context of the foundation and its establishment within Windsor Castle.
