Consecration of France to the Sacred Heart – and Why King Louis Waited Too Long!
Most of us have heard of the heated debate about the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart. What is often forgotten is the first part of that story, the Consecration of France to the Sacred Heart! Sr. Lucia of Fatima fame had a vision in 1929 in which Jesus said that Russia must be consecrated lest it face misfortune as France had when it had failed to do the requested consecration in 1689. 100 years later in 1789, the French Revolution broke out and the king lost his head despite a last ditch attempt to consecrate France.
