A man who is obviously ashamed of being an alter Christus is not fit for purpose as a Bishop of the Church. Why would he want to hide the fact that he's a Priest?
Francis has accepted the resignation of Cardinal Giuseppe Betori (77) as Archbishop of Florence on April 18 and named Gherardo Gambelli (54) as his successor.
Gambelli was a missionary in Chad from 2011 until his return to Florence in 2023.
When the appointment was announced, Gambelli appeared in a casual look, wearing a light blue collared shirt, knit sweater and quilted jacket. The reasons why he hides the fact that he is a priest, are unknown.
