Canada Has Become a Moral Wasteland

Ontario is governed by the Progressive Conservative Party. What an oxymoron. I think they should drop the 'Conservative' part of the name!

An Ontario man who identifies as a woman went to court to force the health care system to pay for a bizarre “gender-affirming” medical treatment and won. The person wants to keep his penis but also for doctors to surgically create a vagina. This is the madness of DIE, diversity, inclusion and equity, that seems to have no ethical limits.

The individual identified only as K.S. has been legally battling the Ontario Health Insurance Plan, OHIP. After a number of failed appeals, K.S. finally won the case to get coverage for the procedure known as vaginoplasty, surgically creating a vagina while leaving his penis intact. Judicial activism alive and well and "progressing" in Canada.

According to a CTV report the Divisional Court of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled that,

K.S., whose identity is protected under a publication ban, identifies as non-binary. She presents as predominantly female and uses she/her pronouns, but does not align with the gender binary.

The reason why K.S. is seeking this particular procedure is because it aligns with her identity – and having the provincial insurer previously deny her request made her feel 'less than.'

The surgery may cost cost tax payers as much s $70,000, and it doesn't include the follow-up medical/psychological treatment after surgery should there be any complications. Who will pay for the care if there are adverse effects of medically addressing the feel of “less than” surgery? Hint, the tax payer.

This person wishes to be neither trans nor non-binary, and so must believe they can be both sexes at the same time. Gender identity alone isn't enough. Both sets of genitals must be present. Is this not a mental illness? Where are we going with the mutilation of the human body? Are we saying that an individual can actually be a "non-person," since they feel neither fully trans nor binary? What does that even mean? Has Canada become a total moral wasteland?

There are people who need real medical care and won't get it because the system is paying for unnecessary and experimental genital surgeries. These dangerous and experimental procedures may not solve the disorder and leave the patient with lifelong problems.

Canada doesn't even offer the medical treatment K.S. has demanded. They will have to travel to the United States to get this radical type of surgery. Again, guess who will probably pay the cost? Yes, we can go too far to the left. Canada is the sad example of what other nations ought to avoid.
