Cultural Looting: How Soviets Attempted To Erase Ukrainian Identity (Culture and Church)

For centuries, Russia has made numerous attempts to suppress Ukraine's identity as a distinct nation. From territorial expansion, violent repression, cultural assimilation, and linguistic oppression, the Russian government, often working together with local collaborators, has consistently attempted to subvert Ukrainian culture and erase its national identity. These efforts have culminated in one of Russia's most recent attempts — the full-scale war launched against Ukraine.
