Germany is Made of 16 Republics. Could One of Them Become a Kingdom?

16 states make up the federal republic known as Germany. They are all republics. What ii some of them became monarchies? Could that work? If we look at the African republics, similar arrangements work since many of thems are made of sub-national monarchies. Before the First World War, the German Empire comprised 22 monarchies, three republican city-states, and the Imperial Territory of Alsace-Lorraine. After the Treaty of Versailles and the German Revolution of 1918–1919, the remaining states transformed into republics. Having in mind the fact that during the monarchy, some states were republics, We posed a hypothetical question to Bavarian citizens: could they envision a scenario where some of the states within the Federal Republic change their government system from a republic to a constitutional parliamentary monarchy?

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
