Re: The “Mantra” Repeating From the Vatican Concerning Fiducia Supplicans . . . “Nothing Has Changed.”

Mr Rôteau shares some thoughts on 'Nothing has changed' which I have commented on several times. It is not only FS but Amoris Laetitia, as well.

Re: The “mantra” repeating from the Vatican concerning Fiducia supplicans . . . “Nothing has changed.”

(participating conspirator apologists who defend the document regurgitate that talking point)
Precisely! So WHY issue the document?
ANYONE has ALWAYS been able to seek an impromptu individual blessing from a priest to petition an outpouring of Grace from God. The document specifies COUPLES. Why? In the eyes of God and of the Church they are ILLEGITIMATE couples. Therefore, to present themselves for a blessing AS couples is necessarily confusing not only to them, but scandalous to anyone observing. The most benefit-of-the doubt that we can muster for the issuing of this document would be to “enable” abuse through the misconstruing of its rules of application.
Right out of the gate, Francis’s golden boy communications mouthpiece appointee, James Martin, staged an inappropriate (theatrical) media event to show just what a “breakthrough” this meant for the so-called “gay community.” This is a loophole abuse just waiting to happen no matter how many internal disclaimers are written into the document. In PRAXIS it is begging to be used as a sodomite version of the Church’s blessing for a NORMAL one-man/one-woman civil marriage.
This abuse could have been foreseen by any REASONABLE person. One does not even need to be a cynic in order to recognize this as a-wink-and-a-nod ENCOURAGEMENT to abuse the requirements stipulated therein. That same-old, same-old “nothing has changed” baloney is the subterfuge of “plausible deniability.” Newsflash to manipulators: The “plausibility” of your many denials has expired and is no longer credible!
“Hey, we told you how to apply the blessing right in the document. It’s not our fault if it is then abused in its application.” Sorry, but that is a disingenuous claim. Especially, when a blessing was always pastorally available to any individual in a perverse relationship seeking Graces to live the chaste life required of the same-sex attracted.
Now, I suspect that the same-sex attracted who are “out-and-proud” as agitators-of-change will characterize my bluntness as unnecessarily brutal or lacking in Christian Charity. They seem to forget that GOD is Love… and “HE wins!” The Author of Life gets to decide what abides in Natural Law, and what is an Abomination.
Credo
539. Are all exterior acts against chastity gravely sinful in themselves?
Yes. All are mortal sins, and those who commit them must repent if they wish to attain the eternal reward of heaven, for “nothing unclean will enter” (Apoc 21:27). “neither the fornicators, … nor adulterers, … nor men who practice homosexuality … will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:9-10)
540. What of Catholics who are publicly known to commit such sins?
Catholics engaged in open adultery, cohabitation, pornography, homosexual lifestyle, or political activism for such causes (e.g., the so-called “LGBTQ+ agenda”), must be regarded as public sinners, and until they have repented and been reconciled to the Church, they must be denied Holy Communion by any minister of the sacrament (see Mt 18:17).
541. Isn’t this discipline overly harsh toward sinners, whom Our Lord invites us to love? No. Authentic love is inseparable from truth, and the Church is obliged to honor Our Lord in the Eucharist and save the public sinner from eating and drinking judgment unto himself (see 1 Cor 11:29).
716. May a so-called “same-sex marriage” in civil law ever be blessed by the Church? No. Any unions that have the name of marriage without the reality of it are not capable of receiving the blessing of the Church, as these are contrary to natural and divine law.
717. May the Church nonetheless support so-called “civil unions” between persons of the same sex? No. Even if such arrangements do not receive the name of ”marriage” in law, they plainly imitate it --- thus encouraging grave sin and causing serious scandal, which the Church can never approve or APPEAR to condone. [emphasis added]
Beware even the APPEARANCE of impropriety!
