This is a comment left by Jacob William Hamm on my post of Charles Coulombe discussing how people become monarchists.

Living in the United States, I think the mythos of the War for Independence and the history taught had turned many citizens against the concept of Monarchy. Monarchy was the way of government for most people throughout time. It was not always dynastic in the early days, but eventually was by the time of Egypt. It took me being open-minded enough to read alternative history books about money that actually led me to understand the nature of monarchy.

Every nation has to have a form of money. That money must come from a sovereign body as credit through the Grace of God. I think Monarchy is entirely linked the well being economically of the people entrusted to the sovereign. If you have a Republic, the money issued is more likely to be fallen into the hands of a plutocracy.

Christopher Hollis and R. Mcnair Wilson wrote some great books about this in the 1930's. Alexander Del Mar also brings this point home on his work on monetary systems and ancient kingdoms.

Money must be legally denominated and from the Grace of God through the Sovereign. A final book I recommend is by David Astle, "The Babylonian Woe", a Canadian. These books and studying money systems led to look into the history of the United States. Back to the original point, the people of America reject kingship, yet they despise the private bank that issues their money. This was has been going on for 200 years in the United States. King George III, carried Bolingbroke in his pocket, "The Patriot King". He did I think understand the grievances of some of the colonists, however, he could not afford their illegal activities, such as smuggling. His worst decision, as listed in the Declaration of Independence, was enlisting the Indians to fight against the settlers. This only turned them further against him, coupled with the writings of Thomas Paine, which were utter propaganda.

The modern American needs to go back and begin history long before 1776 and understand they are a part of a much larger picture. I think if we can move them in that way, we will have done our job. They need to understand there are really only two political systems in history, a Monarchy or a Plutocracy and it's off shoots like republicanism, socialism, and communism.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
