The Empress of the Americas will Crush the Serpent of Abortion

Our Lady of Guadalupe is not only the Patroness of the Americas, she is also the Patroness of the unborn. She is visibly pregnant in Her image on St Juan Diego's tilma.

Christendom Defends Her Honour

In 1531, Christian Europe, thanks to the Roman Catholic Church, had enjoyed over a 1000 years of Christendom. Ever since St. Constantine the Great –  “Equal to the Apostles” – Catholic Christianity had been triumphing gloriously. In countless souls and societies of Christendom, Mary had crushed the serpent and Christ the King was glorified. Central to this triumph was Marian devotion, the heart of the Incarnation.

This veneration due to Mary had transformed the barbarous, pagans of western Europe into “knights in shining armor,” marching off to die in crusades and lay down their life for their brethren – in honour of Our Lady. The Angelus was a crusading prayer. Christendom formed around Our Lady to worship Christ the King. As Newman noted, “The Church and Satan agreed together in this, that Son and Mother went together.”

Cathedrals were raised to honour Mary Immaculate. She was praised and adored throughout Christendom. Even the Muslims honoured Mary. The Talmud alone blasphemed Mother Mary.[1]

But now in 1531, the Protestant heretics had arisen and dared to dishonour Our Lady, threatening to shatter Christendom. For the “bad spirits,” says Newman in the same sermon,

When they came up again from the realms of darkness, and plotted the utter overthrow of Christian faith in the sixteenth century, then they could find no more certain expedient for their hateful purpose than that of reviling and blaspheming the prerogatives of Mary.

The Protestants were an army of heretics unleashed by hell inventing calumnies, lies and unheard of slanders against the Church that had converted Europe, canonized the Holy Bible, gave her the Gospel, brought her to the Light of True Faith, banished the darkness of erstwhile European paganism and taught her the Holy Name of Lord Jesus Christ. Just as they refused to honour the purity of Our Lady, so they dishonoured the purity of the Bride of Christ. The heretics spread bloodshed and revolution, sexual immoralitylooting, and created a crisis. The men of Christendom arose to defend the honour of Mary and the honour of the Church, for Christ the King.

She Defends Christendom

Yet with Europe in chaos, all of Christendom seemed to be falling. But the Mother of God could not abandon us to what our sins justly merited. Queen of Catholic missionaries, and first and greatest of missionary-explorers after her Son, she had already sent Christopher Columbus to the Americas in 1492. There they encountered the brutal Aztec empire that sacrificed 20,000 people each year – especially children – to their demon gods.[2] The Spanish and Indian conquest of the Aztecs stopped the human sacrifice, but the hearts which committed those sacrifices were unconverted. The Spanish worked for decades with very few successful conversions. And the Protestant heretics continued to destroy Christendom in Europe. Meanwhile, the Muhammadan Turk was approaching from the east. Our fathers fought with all their might, but there was no hope in sight.

But on December 12, 1531, Her Royal Majesty, the Queen of Heaven, stepped down herself from her heavenly throne, because it was Christendom’s darkest hour. In the Church’s most desperate and difficult times, Catholics have always sought the unfailing protection of the Mother of God, and it has never been known that she has ever failed us. To a young Mexican lad, St. Juan Diego, she revealed the light of true Faith now being denied by the Protestants:

Juanito, dearest Juan Diego. Juanito, my dearest son, where are you going? Know and understand well, you my most humble son, that I am the Ever-Virgin Holy Mary, Mother of the True God for whom we live, of the Creator of all things, Lord of heaven and the earth. I wish that a temple be erected here quickly, so I may therein exhibit and give all my Love, compassion, help, and protection, because I am your merciful mother, to you, and to all the inhabitants on this land and all the rest who love me, invoke and confide in me; listen there to their lamentations, and remedy all their miseries, afflictions and sorrows.

After this apparition, her miraculous image depicted a virgin mother mestiza pregnant, blocking out the sun and praying to God. And then the most miraculous mass conversion occurred in Spanish American Christendom: the Indians were baptized and intermarried with the Spanish, creating the mestizo Christendom under the Empress of the Americas, the mestiza mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe. While the heretics spread dishonour against Our Lady, she herself was exalted across the Atlantic. And this veneration even pushed back across the ocean, helping to defeat the Turk at Lepanto in 1571. Our Lady of Guadalupe saved Christendom once again and crushed the serpent, becoming the Empress of the Americas. This is the glorious story of Guadalupe that we honour each year on December 12th.

But there is a new Guadalupe for our era.

She Defends her Children

Just as the wicked Aztec empire sacrificed children and the Protestant heretics attacked the veneration of Our Lady, so too in our own day we have a modern child sacrifice spread by modern heretics. We must see the connection between Guadalupe and Fatima here.

As Guadalupe came against the heretics, Fatima came against the Communists. As Guadalupe came in the context of ending child sacrifice, Fatima pointed to the source of the new child sacrifice: Russia. She said Russia would spread her errors. What is the greatest error of Russia? The Soviet government was the first government in Europe to legalize abortion. In October 1920, the Bolshevist Communist terrorists made abortion legal within the USSR with their “Decree on Women’s Healthcare.” Just like the Protestants dishonouring Mary, the Soviets promoted Feminism, attacking the glory of womanhood and Mary. It spread from there, because we have not heeded Fatima, the new Guadalupe. We are now at war with the errors of Russia.

Our Crusade: Under the Banner of Guadalupe

Here is the reality of this war, as the Life Institute documents:

More than 1.5 billion babies have been aborted worldwide in the past 50 years.

An estimated 50 million abortions are carried out throughout the world every year.

One in five pregnancies worldwide end in abortion.

Approximately 90% of Down Syndrome babies are aborted worldwide.

42% of all yearly deaths in the world are from abortion.

Baby girls are a particular target of abortion: at least 100 million girls have already been wiped out through gendercide – the deliberate targeting of baby girls for abortion.

In 2011 the Wall Street Journal reported that 163 MILLION babies were aborted simply because they were girls. They called it ‘The war against girls.’

Our Lady of Guadalupe defended her children against the Aztec child sacrifice and the Protestant heretics. Now she will defend the children against the abortionist Communist terrorists in this new war.

How is Our Lady going to crush this serpent today? It will be by her great power, no doubt. We must never stop working on these things, until Our Lady’s triumph comes, just as our fathers never stopped working until Guadalupe intervened. What are some of the principles that we should follow to win this war?

Principle I: We must use the means that God gives us.

Prayer is vital. Prayer is the basis for action, and gives God all the glory. We  must pray the Rosary every day for the end to abortion and make sacrifices and do penances. God will triumph in Our Lady, as He did at Guadalupe.

Let’s set a reasonable, prayerful goal of Dec 12, 2031 – the 500 year anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego – for legal abortion to end. This may sound impossible, but what did the Spanish missionaries think in 1530 before Guadalupe? Converting these millions is impossible. “What is impossible for man is possible for God” (Lk. 18.27).

Principle II: Elections matter and have consequences.

It is never too early to start praying for God to give us good leaders in the next election. Elections matter. In a democracy, they are the only way to secure natural law and promote Christ’s Kingship.

We all know the so-called Catholic president of the United States is radically pro-abortion. He refuses to do his Catholic duty to defend and preserve unborn life.

We have no choice but to pray and to weep, that God Almighty may restore the Americas, to the dreams and plans He had for them, when He sent His Holy Mother to be the great evangelist of the New World.

We must all be involved in this crusade, as much as possible and according to our state in life, to end this new child sacrifice through Our Lady of Guadalupe. But just like Guadalupe, we need to not only make abortion illegal, but convert the hearts of all souls who would consent to the unborn holocaust. This can only happen through grace.

Principle III: The triumph of the Immaculate Heart means she will crush abortion with certainty.

It is so sad to see the depths of despair into which some Catholics have fallen. Our Lady has promised us the triumph of her Immaculate Heart against the errors of Russia! So why on earth are we despairing? Do we no longer believe her promise? Do we no longer hope to obtain it through prayer?

Sine dubio, that triumph will come, and when this triumph of the Immaculata has come, that abortion will not be around any longer. Therefore Catholic prophecy shows that abortion will end one day. Prophecy is given to cheer us up and to console us.

And, once cheered up, let us work very hard, in order to realize that joyous prophecy. She will crush this serpent as she did before.
