Collect of St Fara, Virgin & Abbess ~ Indulgenced on the Saint's Feast (See Note)

According to the Apostolic Penitentiary, a partial indulgence is granted to those who on the feast of any Saint recite in his honour the oration of the Missal or any other approved by legitimate Authority.

V. O Lord, hear my prayer.

R. And let my cry come unto thee.
Let us pray.
Graciously hear us, O God our Saviour, that as we rejoice in the festival of Blessed Fara, Thy Virgin & Abbess, so mayest we be nourished by the food of her heavenly teaching that we may be enlightened by the fervour of her dedicated holiness.

Through Jesus Christ, Thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.

Nota bene - St Fara is not celebrated on the Universal Calendar, but according to the Martyrology, today is her Feast Day. The Collect is taken from the Common of Virgins.
