Musings of an Old Curmudgeon is Six Years Old!

Six years ago today I posted the first post on this blog. It was short, sweet, and to the point:

I have decided to start blogging again. This will be a bit different than my old blog The New Crusade. It was more of a news aggregator, but I hope to make this attempt a journal of my thoughts and comments on what I read and on life in general. I hope you enjoy it.

Now, after 47,000+ posts and over 2,500,000 page views, I have to admit it is not just 'The musings and meandering thoughts of a crotchety old man as he observes life in the world and in a small, rural town in South East Nebraska' as I had intended it to be.

As the situation in the Church and the world continued to descend into the abyss the blog has become a means (I hope) of educating my readers and energising them to carry on the fight for the Good, the True, and the Beautiful, restoring sanity and order on both the religious and secular fronts.

However, I think I have kept my pledge, displayed in the header since day one, 'Nulla dies sine linea - Not a day without a line'. Despite computer problems, vision problems, and road trips, I have not missed a single day of posting in six years.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
