Maria Theresa Of Austria - FIERCE Female Powerhouse - Mother Of Marie Antoinette


Maria Theresa of Austria was born in Vienna on 13 May 1717 and died there on 29 November 1780. She was the reigning Archduchess of Austria and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia from 1740 to 1780. She was married to Emperor François I and, in that capacity, was also Empress of the Holy Roman Empire from 1745 to 1765. Maria Theresa was one of the most influential and enlightened monarchs of the absolutist era.
