Francis Stephen of Lorraine was born on 8 December 1708 in Nancy and died on 18 August 1765 in Innsbruck. He was Duke of Lorraine and Bar from 1729 to 1736 as Francis Stephen III, then from 1737 he was Francis Stephen II Grand Duke of Tuscany and in 1745 he became Francis Stephen I Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire.
