All-Nighters

I'm 76. I was only 34 when I stayed up all night to watch the Prince of Wales (now HM King Charles III) marry Lady Diana Spencer. When I did the same to watch HRH Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (now HRH William, Prince of Wales) marry Miss Catherine Middleton, I was 64. By the time HM the Queen died I was 75, but I pulled an all-nighter to watch her funeral. I did the same to watch the King's Coronation.
After the Coronation, I posted that I certainly hoped the King outlived me because I was too old to be staying up all night!
Unfortunately, due to my DSPD (delayed sleep phase disorder), I tend to sleep from 06.00 until 14.00, so if I need to be somewhere before around 12.00 I have to stay up all night to be sure get there. Since the Coronation, I've had two funerals to attend that required an all-nighter. My adopted daughter, Tonya, died in March and my two-year-old grandnephew, Kistan, died on Monday last. They should have both outlived me by many years. People have got to stop dying young!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
