21 September 1745 - Jacobite Victory at Prestonpans


On this day, 278 years ago His Royal Highness Charles Edward Louis John Sylvester Maria Casimir, Prince of Wales, son of His Majesty James III & VIII, By the Grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, etc., defeated the forces of the Hanoverian usurper, the putative 'King George II', at the Battle of Prestonpans.
