Jack comments on Fr Moscinski's conviction and six-month jail sentence for peacefully protesting at a New York City abortuary.

That Franciscan Father Fidelis Moscinski will soon be going to serve a six-month jail sentence for peacefully trying to stop the murderous work of a New York City abortion clinic is bad enough. That there are people who screech about how good this is and how it should be done to all active pro-lifers is even worse.
So out of it are pro-abortionists in America that they think the obvious, evidenced-on-camera premeditated gore murders of babies in the womb are great things. So out of it are they that while they celebrate with fellow liberals about THEIR newborn babies, they also celebrate with others over their MURDER of a different, impoverished baby in another womb. I suppose the ancient worshippers of the demon Baal did the same thing while sacrificing babies to their "god."
To anyone who is using their working brain, this is obviously oxymoronic. A baby is a baby. Naturally celebrating their birth is what human beings were doing even when living in jungles and caves. For all the trouble that we humans have caused on Earth, one naturally celebrates the arrival of a baby in the hope that this newborn person will be one of the different ones. And any of them COULD be one of the different ones, which is why all of them should have a right to live.
But in the U.S., even with national pro-abort guidelines overturned last year, there is an enormous drive for "women's rights" that includes the murder of a baby as a "woman's right." States declare themselves free baby -murder zones, and the fight over abortion will just go on and on until the Second Coming at last puts an end to the darkness of the human world.
But this does not mean that one can tire of being pro-life and just hope for the end. What if the end under God's plan is hundreds of years away? One still must do whatever one can, even if for some it means risking a jail sentence like Fr. Moscinski. Who, by the way, will be busy helping fellow prisoners for that six months and who will then be back to help the pro-life movement again.

I know this fellow who observes insects as they go about their daily lives. For example he will watch ants as they go about their tasks crawling on the ground and working dutifully to help their anthill. Yet, says he, these ants could be largely wiped out by some human walking over their hardworking colony and stepping on it without even noticing.
Surely, the universe is cruel, he proposes. Surely there can be no right and wrong when, arbitrarily, anything can be destroyed and living things ended at any time at all. Surely the Jains of India are right when they say that all life is precious and that even an ant must not be stepped on, because life is "all there is" until it is cruelly snuffed out.
This fellow has a limited worldview. The Bible explains that the world was once a Paradise which involved the death of no one, not even a tiny insect. But man and sin destroyed this. Nonetheless, the presence of Christ in history has given humankind a way out, and back to Paradise once again. And animals will follow along with humankind.
I agree that no one should step even on a little ant for no reason. But there is an eternity and a God with eternal Power beyond this limited existence. The distortions and suffering created by human sin will one day be cleansed and God will restore all. One cannot walk around twisting oneself like a pretzel to avoid stepping on ants so small that one cannot see them on the ground. But one can work for the God capable of one day restoring the harmony that will include even the little ants.

However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
