The USCCB went viral after they reclaimed June as the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In a June 1 post that generated almost 120,000 views, the USCCB's Twitter account published a photo of a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, along with "June Month of the Sacred Heart" repeatedly written across the background in large capital letters.
The tweet reads, "Join us in honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus this June, a time to deepen our devotion to His endless love and mercy. Let us open our hearts to receive His grace and share His message of hope with the world."

As of this writing, the viral post generated almost 120,000 views, nearly 800 retweets, and almost 2600 likes. Close to 80 people replied to the tweet.

Twitter user Pete DeMaio responded, "Good job Bishops! We desperately need your faithfulness, holiness, and leadership."

Another user said, "THIS is the kind of passive-aggressiveness that truly emulates the Heart of Christ. Bravo!"

This user added, "Now this is a month we all need #SacredHeartofJesus".

About the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Catholic Church traditionally dedicates the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The solemnity falls on the Friday after the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. This year, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 16.

The devotion to the Sacred Heart became more widespread following St. Margaret Mary Alacoque's visions between 1673-1675.

St. Margaret Mary Alacoque was a French nun of the Order of the Visitation of Our Lady. Jesus appeared to her four times in Paral-le-Monial, France, revealing his love for humankind through His Sacred Heart.

According to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Jesus "wanted to bestow upon men during these final centuries such loving redemption in order to snatch them from the control of Satan, whom He intended to destroy.”

Pope Pius IX declared it an obligatory feast in 1856.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You! ❤️‍🔥

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
