I had occasion today to call the Social Security office in Lincoln. After a surprisingly pleasant experience in which a government bureaucrat was actully helpful, as we were saying goodbye, the agent to whom I was speaking said, 'Has anyone ever told you that you sound exactly like Tom Brokaw?'
Our daughter, who was on the call, intejected & said, 'I've never noticed it, but you're RIGHT!'
It was a new experience. I'm 75 years old. Brokaw has been a national broadcaster since 1966 & in all those years, no one has ever mentioned that I sound like him!
