Lesson Fourteen of God and His Creation, with Fr James Brent, OP, PhD, STL, Asst Professor of Philosophy, Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, Washington DC.
“To pretend they [Angels] do not exist because we do not see them is like pretending that we never sleep because we have never caught ourselves asleep.” -Fr. Walter Farrell, O.P.
The Catholic church firmly teaches the existence of angels, both good and bad ones. It is based on faith in divine revelation, but God has revealed to us the reality of angels and demons. And by doing so, He is telling us something intelligible and wonderful. So, we want to understand the angels as much as possible, in order to understand the ways of God and the ways of the spiritual life.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
