A coalition Christian fleet faces the naval forces of the Ottoman Empire in one of the most important battles in history. Lepanto, where the crescent faced the cross, where the Ottoman Turks clashed with Latin Christendom. The famous author Cervantes, who was present at the battle, called it “the best day’s work in centuries.” Today, the Battle of Lepanto remains one of history’s most remembered, discussed, and studied events.
